Is it a good idea to build my MVP on low code or no code tools instead of custom development?

Low code and no code platforms can be excellent for validating an idea quickly, especially when your product is mostly standard flows like forms, simple workflows, and dashboards. They allow non developers to experiment and reduce the initial cost of building something usable. The trade off is reduced flexibility, vendor lock in, and sometimes painful limits when you try to add custom logic or integrate deeply with other systems. If your core value is in process and UX rather than complex algorithms, starting on low code and planning a later migration can be smart. If your product relies on heavy customisation or domain specific logic, investing in a proper codebase early may save you a painful rebuild.
