- Inherited an existing, already-built codebase from a prior developer with no handoff documentation and conducted structured code review before making any changes; - Identified gaps and inconsistencies between the existing implementation and expected functionality, and fixed them without a full rewrite; - Used AI-assisted development tooling throughout the review-and-fix cycle to accelerate delivery while preserving code quality; - Took ownership of the production release, closing the engagement within the original 3-month scope.

The Baby Project — Cross-Platform Mobile App

About the Project

Cross-platform React Native/Expo mobile application helping parents monitor their child's growth and development by tracking sleep, nutrition, medication, and vaccination history, with AI-powered analytics surfacing personalized insights. Released to both App Store and Google Play.

- Led mobile development as Front-end Lead and Architect, owning the mobile front-end architecture end-to-end through App Store and Google Play release; - Drove the technical approach for integrating AI-powered insights (OpenAI) directly into the mobile client; - Implemented WebSocket-based real-time data sync between the mobile app and a NestJS backend; - Integrated Stripe Connect for subscription processing and payouts to healthcare providers; - Implemented In-App Purchases (IAP) with StoreKit for iOS subscription tiers, including sandbox testing; - Utilized Supabase for real-time data synchronization, user authentication, and edge functions handling asynchronous tasks; - Collaborated directly with stakeholders to define system workflows and translated wireframes into accessible interfaces; - Reviewed and approved technical designs for new feature work as the app scaled.
