Angular (also called Angular 2+) is a complete rewrite of AngularJS (or Angular 1). Key new features include a component-based architecture, enhanced TypeScript support, and improved performance thanks to AOT compilation. AngularJS does not adopt a true component design or provide these modern improvements, and has limited model-view features compared with Angular.
