A company already running .NET services has little reason to rewrite them in Node.js just because the app is built in React Native. The choice between REST and GraphQL affects how much request-shaping code the mobile team writes, but either pattern works with any of the backends above. Offline caching and background sync, handled with libraries like TanStack Query or RTK Query on the client, also work the same regardless of which server sits behind the API.
